Boston Catholic Priest Sex Abuse, 2003 Church Settlement Offer is Discussed, Part I

In September, 2003, The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston makes an $85 million settlement offer to a group of 542 clergy abuse victims. Most of the funds would come from church insurance policies, with some additional monies coming from sale of church property. Victims' attorneys would get about 30%. Beyond payment, the settlement will also include psychological counseling for victims.
